Angel Gutierrez

Ángel Gutiérrez is an Argentine-Spanish dancer and choreographer whose work bridges movement, identity, and social consciousness. Throughout his international career, he has performed in some of Europe’s most renowned opera houses, including the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Scottish Opera, Welsh National Opera, Malmö Opera, Gran Teatre del Liceu, and the Teatro Regio di Torino.Having worked with various contemporary dance companies and taught across Argentina, Spain, and Sweden, his artistic journey is shaped by the exploration of the body that thinks, feels, and resists—a space for creation and encounter with others. He is now dedicated to choreographic creation, developing projects that seek to resonate both aesthetically and socially.Gutiérrez is a founding member of Tartago Handelsbolag (Gothenburg, https://tartago.se) and Homeland Dance Company (Barcelona, https://homelandancecompany.carrd.co ) , through which he promotes work at the intersection of dance, music, and critical thought.Based between Barcelona (Spain) and Gothenburg (Sweden), he draws on diverse cultural contexts to shape an artistic vision that is plural, reflective, and deeply engaged with the present.

MOVE ME offers both a personal and collective refuge, where each participant receives instructions and music through wireless headphones to tune into their own “inner frequency.”
The project invites participants to explore the body as a channel of authentic expression, connecting physical and emotional sensations with rhythms, sounds, and silences.His teaching practice emphasizes the body as a space of thought, emotion, and resistance.
